The
Gold Coast City is as diverse in its environs as it is in its
culture and its community.
Boasting an estimated resident population of approximately 320,000 and an annual growth rate of four per cent, the City encompasses an area of approximately 1500 square kilometres.
The Gateway to this dynamic city in the north is Beenleigh, home to Australia's oldest operating rum distillery operating since 1860, and a wealth of industry.

In the south is the popular
beach side resort of Coolangatta, situated on the tropical
Queensland - New South Wales border.
The city's western boundary is formed by the lush rainforest of the tranquil Gold Coast hinterland, while in the east, the boundaries are completed by 55 kilometres of some of Queensland's most spectacular beaches.
In addition to its ever growing resident population, the City also welcomes in excess of three million tourists every year and is now the venue for many international events such as the Australian Indy Car Grand Prix and the Gold Coast Marathon.
The Gold Coast City is highly regarded by locals and visitors alike as the tourist and leisure capital of Australia with wide white sandy beaches and rolling blue waves to pristine rainforest and waterfalls less than an hour apart.
