- SPECIFICATIONS 4 ROWS OF 8 AND 3 ROWS OF 8 SWINGWING LOWLOADER :
- 75t to 100t capacity widening 2.5m to 4.27m
- These low-loaders are designed to be operated in rugged off-road conditions as well as highway conditions.
- FRAME :
- The frame is designed and manufactured from Bisalloy 80 or equivalent,
high tensile plate. All fabrication is carried out within our workshop
under strict supervision, to accepted welding standards.
- The 'swingwing' frame consists of two parallel decks with axles attached to
each which are attached tot the main gooseneck by two (2) links each.
The links hold the two deck sections parallel and allow the decks to
widen from 2.5m to 4.27m.
- The widening procedure is achieved using a hydraulically assisted swingwing
link system. A major advantage the 'swingwing' link system has over
other widening systems is that it enables the trailer axles further
away from the drive or dolly. This greatly improves its legal load
carrying range.
- Ground clearance of 300mm under the deck this is adjustable due to
hydraulic suspension system.
- Two 800mm wide level or drop bed steel trailer decks are made with beaver tails
to improve the approach angle when loading equipment, the length of the decks
can be made to suit your requirements.
- Normal travelling height of the deck is 950mm this can be adjusted to suit
conditions and lower for loading purposes.
- Air operated lock pins are positioned in both of the front swinglinks
and back bumper.
- Adjustable steel landing legs with drop-in pins will be fitted to the
front of the trailer decks. These are designed to support the trailer
when the prime mover is removed.
- Tie down points and lifting lugs are incorporated in the design of outside
trailer deck, support arms and gooseneck
- GOOSENECK :
- New high strength, low height gooseneck incorporating an oscillating skid plate
fitted with two king pin bosses to suit a removable 90mm dia. king pin.
- The two king pin position skid plate allows the prime mover and 2 rows of 8
dolly to operate at a 6m group.
- A removable 90mm pin will be supplied.
- BRAKES :
- 12.25" x 5" ADR 38 approved air/mechanical 'S' cam brake assemblies are
fitted to all axles. All axles are fitted with spring operated
parking/emergency brakes.
- SUSPENSION :
- Drake heavy duty, hydraulically equalising dampened, trailing arm suspension.
- The hydraulics are powered by 5hp Honda petrol hydraulic power unit,
fitted with an auxiliary hand pump in case of breakdowns and controlled
through a multi-spool hydraulic control.
- AXLES :
- Standard Drake heavy duty solid hi-strength axles are used in the
suspension units with taper roller bearings.
- The Drake axle has full ADR38 approval.
- Stemco seals are fitted to our Drake heavy duty five spoke solid cast hubs.
- TYRES :
- 215/75R x 17.5 tyres fitted to tubeless rims including two
spare tyres and rims.
- RAMPS :
- Single acting hydraulically raised 2.7m long plated, rear loading ramps will be fitted.
- ELECTRICAL :
- All electrical wiring will be run in PVC electrical conduit.
- A seven pin socket will be fitted to the front of the gooseneck
with all other quick release couplings. Rear tail lights, number plate
light and mounting bracket will be fitted at the rear of the trailer.
Flashing amber light fitted to rear of ramps.
- PAINT :
- The frame will be sandblasted and primed with a Zinc Chromate primer
and two top coats of Dulux industrial two pack paint will be applied.
Colour as per your specifications.
- GENERAL EQUIPMENT :
- All moving pins will be fitted with grease nipples with the suspension
units having common greasing blocks for each unit.
- Two spare tyre carrier brackets will be supplied at the front of the gooseneck.
- Stainless steel tubing will be used wherever possible.
- Signs - 'Do Not Overtake Turning Vehicle' and 'OVERSIZE' signs will be supplied and fitted.
- Tool Box - a lockable tool box will be built into the frame to house the chains and dogs.
- SPARE PARTS :
- The trailer is made from standard Drake parts which are always kept
in stock by us in Brisbane.
- WARRANTY :
- 12 months guarantee against faulty materials, workmanship and design.
- EXTRAS :
- Deck - closed in rear deck
- Diesel Power Pack with pull start
- Water Tank - a galvanised drinking water tank with a tap can be supplied
and fitted tot he trailer if required
- Tool Box - a lockable tool box will be supplied in a protected position on
the trailer suitable for the storage of tools, chains and dogs
- Double Hung Ramps - supply and fit 3.6m long plated hydraulically powered
automatic swingout, double hung, rear loading ramps to the back bumper
