These trailers specification listed below are our new expanding deck low-loaders
which are designed and built to withstand heavy duty operations on highway, secondary roads
and construction sites, transporting earthmoving machinery within the legal loading limits allowed.
- FRAME CONSTRUCTION :
- The frame is designed and manufactured from hi-tensile plate and rolled sections.
- All fabrication is carried out within our workshop under strict supervision,
to accepted welding standards.
- Heavy duty drop down landing legs to support laden trailer when
the prime mover is removed.
- Tie down points are situated along the coaming including between the tyres.
- Two (2) tie down points are also supplied on the gooseneck and
front cross member for tying forward.
- DECK :
- The 2.5m to 3.5 widening standard trailer deck is made in three
sections with rear load beaver tail, plate deck with the main
deck widens hydraulically.
- The trailer is designed to support grouser equipped vehicles,
with the length built to suit your particular requirements.
- DOUBLE PIN GOOSENECK :
- Low height gooseneck fitted with wear straps. A removable 90mm
king pin will be fitted to the rear skid plate and a boss fitted
to the front fixed skid plate.
- This will enable the use of 5m bogie dolly as well as a standard prime mover.
- AXLES :
- 15" heavy duty Drake ADR 38 approved, 10t capacity axles with
'S' cam brake assemblies.
or
20" heavy duty York ADR 38 approved 10t capacity axles with
16" x 7.5" 'S' brake assemblies are supplied.
- Axles are fitted with spring operated parking/emergency brakes.
- ADR 38 approval has been given to this brake system.
- SUSPENSION :
- Heavy duty B.P.W air bag suspension, or York Spring
and rocker on some of the tris.
- The design of the suspension system is such that it operates on
the low pressure to maintain long life and low maintenance.
- TYRES :
- 9.5R x 17.5 x 18 ply Toyo tyres fitted to Topy tubeless rims, including one spare.

255/70 x 22.5 x 14 ply Goodyear steel tyres including one spare tyre and rim supplied
- RAMPS and WIDENING DECK :
- Supply and fit hydraulically, powered, plated rear loading ramps
to the back bumper, to widen hydraulically to 3.5m.
- The ramps and decks are powered by a Hydraulic Power Pack.
- PAINT :
- The lowloader frame will be sandblasted and primed with a Zinc
Chromate primer and two top coats of Dulux industrial two pack
paint will be applied. Colour as per your specifications.
- ELECTRICAL :
- All electrical wiring will be run in PVC electrical conduit.
- A seven pin socket will be fitted to the front of the gooseneck
with all other quick release couplings.
- Rear tail lights, number plate light and mounting bracket will
be fitted in a recessed, protected position at the rear of the trailer.
- GENERAL EQUIPMENT :
- All moving pins will be fitted with grease nipples.
- Two spare tyre carrier brackets will be supplied on the front
top flange of the gooseneck.
- Signs - 'Do Not Overtake Turning Vehicle' and 'OVERSIZE'
signs will be supplied and fitted.
- Tool Box - a lockable tool box will be built into the frame
to house the chains and dogs.
- Stainless steel hydraulic tubing will be used wherever possible.
- SPARE PARTS :
- The trailer is made from standard Drake parts which are always
kept in stock by us in Brisbane.
- WARRANTY :
- 12 months guarantee against faulty materials, workmanship and design.
- OPTIONAL EQUIPMENT :
- Yard Release Kit - Brake system release for yard movement.
- Double Hung Ramps - Supply and fit 3.6m long, plated,
hydraulically powered, automatic swingout, double hung,
rear loading ramps to the back bumper.
- Water Tank - a plastic drinking water tank with a tap can be
supplied and fitted tot he trailer if required.
- Tool Box - a lockable tool box will be supplied in a protected
position on the trailer suitable for the storage of tools, chains and dogs.
- Drop Bed
- Dunnage Tray - timber/chain tray.
- Self Tracking Axles - BPW self tracking axles on rows 3 and 4,
plus auto slacks adjusters on all axles and frame modification.
#NOTE : The major benefits of Self-Tracking Axles are, doubling your tyre life,
greatly increase manoeuvrability which allows for longer deck length than would
otherwise be possible in most types of work.
