- FRAME :
- The frame is designed and manufactured from Bisalloy 80 or equivalent high
tensile plate. All fabrication is carried out within our workshop under
strict supervision, to accepted welding standards.
- Heavy-duty drop down landing legs to support trailer when the
prime mover is removed.
- Tie down points are supplied on the outside of the trailer decks,
beaver tail and gooseneck to enable multi-positional load positioning.
- DECK :
- The lowloader is made with two 900mm wide steel decks which are
able to be widened at approximately 250mm increments from 2.5m.
- The length of our standard trailer can be manufactured at different
lengths to suit special circumstances.
- DOUBLE PIN GOOSENECK :
- Low height gooseneck fitted with wear straps. A drop-in, removable standard
90mm king pin. The mating surface of the skid plate will be made at a
height to suit your prime mover when loaded. The design of the neck is
such that it will match up to a standard 2X4 Dolly.
- AXLES :
- 15" heavy duty Australian made ADR 38 approved, 10t capacity axles with
12.25" x 7.5" 'S' brake.
or
20" heavy duty Australian made ADR 38 approved, 10t capacity axles with
16" x 7.5" 'S' brake assemblies are supplied.
- Axles are fitted with spring operated parking/emergency brakes.
- Axles widen out with the decks and are operated by the prime mover
dual line braking system.
- WIDENING :
- The widening of the decks and tyres is performed hydraulically using a
total of four hydraulic rams. The hydraulic widening is controlled
from the rear of the trailer.
- LOCK PINS :
- To maintain wheel alignment at the different trailer widths,
we have fitted four large lock pin mechanisms, which are operated
through standard brake boosters.
- SUSPENSION :
- Heavy duty hydraulically equalizing dampened suspension.
- The design of the suspension system is such that it operates on the
low pressure to maintain long life and low maintenance.
Teflon seals and wipers are used giving longer life and high performance.
- TYRES :
- 255/70 x 22.5 x 14 ply Goodyear steel tyres fitted to 7.5 x 22.5 tubeless rims.
or
9.5R x 17.5 x 18ply Toyo steel tyres fitted to 6.75 x 17.5 tubeless rims.
- RAMPS :
- 2.7 x 0.9m ramps rear of the deck section. These ramps widen out with
their decks to simplify the loading of machines.
- These ramps are powered from the main hydraulic system with the control
valve for them at the rear of the trailer.
- Ramps will be fastened to the side outside of the deck.
- ELECTRICAL :
- All electrical wiring will be run in PVC electrical conduit.
- A seven-pin socket will be fitted to the front of the gooseneck
with all other quick release couplings.
- Rear taillights, number plate light and mounting bracket will be
fitted in a recessed, protected position at the rear of the trailer.
- PETROL POWER PACK :
- A 5hp Honda hydraulic power pack is fitted on the trailer to operate
the suspension, widening decks and ramps. An auxiliary hand pump is
fitted in case of engine failure.
- PAINT :
- The lowloader frame will be sandblasted and primed with a Zinc
Chromate primer and two coats of Dulux industrial two-pack paint
will be applied. Colour as per your specifications.
- GENERAL EQUIPMENT :
- All moving pins on the suspension units will be fitted with grease
nipples mounted in easy access positions.
- Stainless Steel hydraulic tubing is used wherever possible.
- A spare tyre carrier bracket will be supplied on the front top
flange of the gooseneck.
- Signs - 'Do Not Overtake Turning Vehicle' and 'OVERSIZE' signs
will be supplied and fitted.
- Tool Box - a lockable tool box will be built into the frame to
house the chains and dogs.
- SPARE PARTS :
- The trailer is made from standard Drake parts, which are always
kept in stock by us in Brisbane.
- WARRANTY :
- 12 months guarantee against faulty materials, workmanship and design.
- OPTIONAL EQUIPMENT :
- Yard Release Kit - Brake system release for yard movement.
- Double Hung Ramps - Supply and fit 3.6m long, plated, hydraulically powered,
automatic swingout, double hung, rear loading ramps to the back bumper.
- Water Tank - a plastic drinking water tank with a tap can be supplied
and fitted to the trailer if required.
- Tool Box - a lockable tool box will be supplied in a protected position
on the trailer suitable for the storage of tools, chains and dogs.

- Dunnage Tray - timber/chain tray.
